For the production of ‘Weeds In My Heart’ I reached out to a producer I had met through Instagram Threads. I decided on this method because I wanted to learn how to record my voice and guitar along with learn some basic theory in audio production using ProTools. E. Bradley Heyden Studios in Ohio, was the perfect fit for being the mastering engineer and teacher. It took several recordings I will admit, but each time I learned more and more. I had produced this song with drums and bass but really wanted to simplify it for its first release to catch the raw emotion of the lyrics. I would highly recommend Bradley for remote mastering and instruction. not only was he down-to-earth and easy to work with, he is excellent at explaining things and patient.
What I liked best was the patience that was provided while I recorded and then re-recorded with recommended adjustments to my equipment.

Caught the morning train to Baltimore leaving my sorrows past the tracks travelled
Moving on now to a new day see the sunrise in the horizon
Found my seat to freedom no one’s going to take it back
Yes this train moves me forward nothing’s going to move me back
Just like a raindrop on an ink stained paper tears are faded memories of black and blue
Strength will come now that i know it’s over this train moves on through
These weeds in my heart I’m pulling them our I’m gonna make a brand new start
I found my soul and God has guided and I will never let it go and now I see the mirrored reflection of beauty and the tracks they moves on a new horizon has just begun.
