The Perfect Setting for Performing
A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to perform outside for a private event on the water. Let’s just say I snatched that up quickly. It is the perfect vibe for my originals and covers. I worked tirelessly find the right songs that fit the mood for the event (a celebration for president of an organization). Of course in my line up was “Proud Mary”, but I threw few other classics such as “Country Road Take Me Home” and “Killing Me Softly With His Song”.
Included in my originals setlist, were two songs that will be released on July and August: “ Paintings On My Wall” and “Weeds In My Heart”.
The highlight of the day was the weather holding off and the pleasure of engaging with listeners and discussing my songs and my journey to get to the point of performing and finding my passion in making my music happen to share with others. Music was only found on the radio, live performances and physical media whine I grew up. Sharing my songs was typically kept to a small group such as a friend or two or my close family.
The clip below is from one of my favorite originals that I enjoy improvising live called ‘Sweet Sweet Love’.
I hope to be releasing the originals I performed in an album soon.
