This blog site originally started off as a photoblog site in 2013 as a way to share my photography and write about journeys, while sharing creative inspirations. Through the many years it has just sat, basically as I started to build my company and raise my sons into adulthood. Photography and studio art were always something I loved.
Since they have left and gone off to college, I have rekindled my passion for art and music. What I didn’t realize would happen is the natural transition of blending my photography with my songs and stories. It seems that the songs I write may actually be reflections from the past. As I write, I sometimes even imagine in my mind a photograph I have taken, being inspired by the story it tells.
My recent release ‘Songbird’ featured multiple photos to create one scene resembling an illustration. Awhile back I would have whipped out my watercolors and maybe someday soon I will. But I also believe that art can be produced through digital software from your original photograph. (Not a fan of AI). When creating you are still the artist with the eye and creative dream of what you want your image to convey. For this cover, I wanted it to be light and airy to complement the feeling of rebirth and flight as the songbird grows in strength and spirit.
