This is actually a photograph of lights. Since it’s the day after New Year’s I thought I would post abstract artwork. No, I was not partying last night. Sad to say I was barely able to keep my eyes open for Dick Clark’s count down. This is artwork I created from my Photography of Lights Study (this is the link to the photo). I only used filters and did not add colors, they came out naturally from being mixed digitally by the design program. I used lights for the sole purpose of creating brilliant colors against black. I wasn’t sure if I would ever post this. I am attracted to it’s colors and movement to and away from the eye. The most difficult challenge was not to muddy out the image by over designing, since there are several layers. If you click on the image you can see more of the detail. My next post will be from the beach at winter. We go today for a quick trip!

Very cool! (I keep saying that don’t I?) Now I’m thinking about trying something like this myself… 🙂
Hey go for it! You can always delete or hit undo. No worries, I run into the same problem repeating my comments. I try to be original. Maybe there could be a Google app.
LoL! (not even trying to be original there)
LOVE this!
Thanks Nicole!
So very creative.
Thanks Tracie!
This is beautiful! Love the backstory…I wasn’t out partying either but this photo reminds me of many unforgettable NYE shows in Miami. Thanks for sharing, Happy New Year.
Thanks, Have a Happy New Year!
I like this a lot, Jennifer. And you’re right, there is a limit to how much to work an image.
Have fun at the beach and happy 2012!
