This photograph was taken with close up lenses that used on my old faithful Vivitar Camera. Just for fun I thought I’d give it a try. I screwed together two close up lenses and held them over my Digital Camera Lens. The idea was to abstract a tree branch so that it would transform itself into an interesting shape. I decided to focus on the center to in order to have the edges of the tree branch distort and become an abstract shape. The sky was a wonderful blue color so I encourage it to become part the background design by trying to find a good compositional balance between sky and branch. Tree branches possess a uniqueness in design that have always intrigued me.

Very cool. The blurry parts make it look like it could be miles long and we’re flying up to it…
Excellent job you’ve done, well done.
So my trick seems to work. I might try it again soon. Thanks!

Thanks! “Your In The Field” photo is giving me ideas! It’s cold here too!
Beautiful framing Jennifer. Really nice how sky and branch blend in and blur. You’re so right about branches, they are intriguing!
