Soon to Be Released: Listen People (Land of the Free)
In the shadow of bravery lies a haunting reality that many face, where the sacrifices made on the battlefield echo long after the fighting stops, leading to battles within that are often unseen and unheard; these courageous men and women bear the weight of memories that cling like a heavy fog, struggling to reconnect with the warmth of home and heal from the scars of war, navigating a world that sometimes feels alien and unwelcoming, yearning for understanding, support, and the solace of knowing that their fight is not just for freedom in a distant land, but also for peace within their own hearts and minds.
This is a song I started writing in the 80’s. The beat was basic and was done on one of those keyboards that seemed to have air running through it? Anyways, I located a very large box of my old tapes and came across this one. Liking the beat and basic message I decided to resurrect it. I finalized the lyrics and built more of the melody last year and changed the message from general freedom to a more specific cause being the freedom that has been fought for by our soldiers.
I just finished recording the vocals for this song and it is in the hands of my produce TK Productions. Due out Mid-November 2024
